Dr. Weiguo Wang is the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Ningbo SOFCMAN Energy Technology Co., Ltd.

Before found the company, he was the Deputy Director of Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE), Chinese Academy of Sciences. In the end of 2006, Dr. Wang joined NIMTE through a “Flagship Action” program supported by the NIMTE. He established the Fuel Cell and Energy Technology Division at NIMTE.

Prior to joining NIMTE, Dr. Wang was a Senior Scientist and Project Manager at Risoe National Laboratory, Denmark. During the period of 2001 to 2006 in Risoe, he was working on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. From 1997 to 2001 he served as an Engineer and later the R&D Manager at Nordic Superconductor Technologies A/S, which was a subsidiary company of NKT. Dr. Wang began his scientific career as a Research Assistant at the Central-South University, Changsha, China in 1987 and became an Associate Professor in 1991.

Dr. Weiguo Wang received his Bachelor and Master of Science Degree specialized in Metal Physics from Central-South University in 1984 and 1987, respectively. In 1998, he got his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering specialized in high temperature superconductors at Centre for Superconducting and Electronic Materials from the University of Wollongong, Australia.

He Changrong, Ph.D – Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Changrong He is co-founder and COO of Ningbo SOFCMAN Energy Technology Co., Ltd. He also served as the leader of small systems in SOFCMAN. He is mainly in charge of the research and development of SOFC test and demonstration systems.

Prior to SOFCMAN, Dr. He worked in NIMTE from 2011 to 2014 and focused on design and mass production of solid oxide fuel cells. He and his team developed a pilot production line of single cells and greatly optimized the performance of these cells.

Dr. Changrong He received his Bachelor Degree in Mineral Processing Engineering from Chang’an University in 2005. In 2011, he got his Ph.D. specialized in Materials Physics and Chemistry from NIMTE. Dr. He has co-authored more than 10 SCI papers and participated in 5 patent applications.

Chen Tao, Ph.D – Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Tao Chen is co-founder and CTO of Ningbo SOFCMAN Energy Technology Co., Ltd. He also served as the leader of big systems in SOFCMAN. He is mainly in charge of the research and development of 25kW SOFC system.

Prior to joining SOFCMAN, Dr. Chen was an associate professor in NIMTE from 2011 to 2014, where he focused on SOFC stack design and manufacture. He also has rich experience in single cell and stack test and analysis. He has leaded and finished four SOFC related development projects.

Dr. Tao Chen got his Bachelor and Master of Science Degree specialized in Material Science and Technology from China University of Geosciences in 2003 and 2007, respectively. In 2011, he got his PhD. in Materials Engineering specialized in SOFC from NIMTE. He is the co-author or co-inventor for tens of publications and patents.
