Dr. Nicolas BARDI, General Manager of Biomass and Hydrogen Technologies Department of New Energy Technological and Nanomaterials Innovation Laboratory (Liten), the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), France, visited the Ningbo Institute of Materials technology and Engineering (NIMTE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on October 22nd, accompanied by Valérie SEGUIN, Nuclear Counselor Assistant of Nuclear Industry Office of French Embassy. Professor Weiguo Wang, the Deputy Director of NIMTE, hosted their visit.
During his visit, Dr. Nicolas BARDI gave a presentation titled “Technological Research on New Energy @ CEA-Liten”. In his presentation, Dr. Nicolas BARDI introduced the R&D activities on new energy in Liten, including electrical transportation such as batteries and fuel cells, solar energy & smart building, biomass & hydrogen and advanced materials, as well as the R&D in high temperature steam electrolysis in his department. The core value of Liten, “from R&D to pilot installations”, was repeated in his talk.
The CEA is a French government-funded technological research organization, a leader in research, development and innovation.
